Security scheme for educational institutions unveiled

A private security company Pak-Road Travellers Protector Limited will provide security to all private sector educational institutions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Under the security arrangements the company beside installation of CCTV cameras, provision of security guards and in case of the death and accidental disability of the parents or guardian the student will be paid a scholarship of Rs 2000 to Rs 5000 per month.
In case of accidental death of the student during school's hour, the affected family will be paid a compensation of Rs 0.2 million. Similarly, in case of death of the head of the institute or disability, he will be paid an amount of Rs 0.5 million, while deputy head and teacher will get Rs 0.3 million and Rs 0.2 million respectively under the scheme.
Talking to media chief executive, Pak Road Travellers Protector Limited, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA, S.S. Javed said that in the wake of incidents of terrorism and extremism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA, the provision of security to educational institutions is not the responsibility of only government, but of all Pakistanis. He said that the company in initial stage has offered the services of guaranteeing security to all private educational institutions including schools, colleges and universities.
He said that the meeting held under the chairmanship of the chief of Pak-Roads Travellers Protector Limited, Sheikh Mohammad Farooq was also attended by the Director Finance, Mohammad Hasham Khan, Executive Director, Mohammad Ismail, Country Manager, Mohammad Tauseef and Director, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bahr Konain.
The provincial chief executive of the company said that the company has already started provision of security and equipment to bus terminals and stands of the transport sector of the country from Punjab. The company is running successfully in Punjab and now it had offered security to private sector institutions and announced special packages for students and teachers of the private teaching institutions. After private educational institutions, in next phase the company will go offer its services to health sector.
He said that company with the resolve of the service of humanity in collaboration with Takaful Company has initiated a scheme for the students of all private schools, colleges and universities. Under which in case of the death and accidental disability of the parents or guardian the affected student will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs 2000 to Rs 5000 per month. While in case of the accidental death of the child in school time, the affected family will be paid an amount of Rs 0.2 million.
The company will also install CC TV cameras and will guarantee the provision of security guards. He said that the schools with monthly fees of Rs 200 to Rs 500 per month could start it with the payment of Rs 30 to Rs 50 per month on per child basis while those with monthly fees of above Rs 1000 can take benefit of it with the payment of Rs 200 per month on per child basis. After the success of the scheme, he said another will be introduced in the province under which the company will pay the monthly fees of those students, which could not continue their education due to poverty and lack of the payment of fees.
