National Tariff Commission (NTC) Chairman Prince Abbas Khan visited Indus Motor Company (IMC) on Saturday. During the visit, he was given a detailed plant tour of manufacturing facilities wherein he closely examined the plant followed by IMC's management presentation and reviewed the company's progress. He commended Indus Motor and Toyota Motor Corporation for bringing the latest automotive technology to Pakistan and contribution towards its progress.
Khan noted that notable contributions made by auto industry; particularly IMC in transfer of technology, localisation, increasing employment etc, and acknowledged the challenges faced by the local auto industry. He assured assistance of NTC in putting proposal to GoP in greater national interest on used car and curb misdeclaration/ under invoicing of auto parts. Indus Motor Company CEO Parvez Ghias thanked Prince Abbas Khan and appreciated his role in supporting IMC, both in becoming a major automobile manufacturer as well as a significant contributor to the economy of Pakistan.-PR
