The trade and industry have lauded the efforts of Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Husain and his team on inauguration of Kunnar - Pasakhi gas field.
The Patron In-Chief Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) S M Muneer, Vice-Chairmen, Hasham A Razzak Tariq Malik and former Chairman Mian Zahid Hussain said that the gas supply to the tune of 300 MMCFD from Kunnar-Pasakhi would provide big relief to the country's industry particularly the Karachi's industry which is the backbone of national economy.
They opined that in energy crises situation this field of 300 MMCFD would prove to be a life-saver for the industry. It is learnt that the system has started receiving 100 MMCFD from Kunnar-Pasakhi. They further requested the minister to also activate more gas fields which have yet to produce gas and explore additional gas fields in the country especially in Sindh province where many reserves are yet to be explored. They asked the minister to exempt the industry from gas load shedding and resolve low-pressure problem which is being faced by the industries at this juncture.-PR
