They said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif also telephoned Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaquat Balouch and discussed the country situation. The PML-N had decided to establish contacts with all the political forces in the country in a bid to press the government to immediately announce fresh polls, they added.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has also convened an emergent meeting of the party's central executive committee, MNAs and senators in Islamabad on Thursday (today) to take important decisions in the wake of present political situation. Nawaz will chair the meeting and unfold the decisions to be taken in this meeting at a news conference. The decision to this effect was taken at party's consultative meeting held under the chairmanship of Nawaz Sharif at his Raiwind residence on Wednesday.
Sources claimed that major decisions were expected to be taken in Thursday's meeting. The meeting decided to use all options to persuade the PPP government to implement the apex court judgement on NRO in letter and spirit. PML-N leaders also warned the government to abstain from playing foul game and move forward for implementing the apex court verdict on NRO.
