Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Kiramatullah Khan has said that Rs 2 billion project for the provision of Sui gas in the provincial assembly constituency PK-7 is in progress while initially a amount of Rs 270 million are being spent on the construction of Pir Bala-Safaid Sang Road.
Talking to different delegations in Chagarmati, he said that projects worth billions of rupees of education, health, communications and power sectors are continued, whose completion with usher an era of progress and development in the area. He said that he does not believe in hollow slogans and believe only practical politics, saying most of the problems have been resolved.
He said that PPP is the political party of the poor and middle classes and has concentrated all energies on bringing backward rural areas at par with the cities. He said that he has fulfilled majority of his electoral pledges with the electorates and the remaining will also be resolved soon.
He reiterated his resolve of the provision of Sui gas to every house of the constituency. He said that the areas deprived of the gas so far would be provided the facility shortly. He said that only his supporters, but even his political opponents are also praising him for initiating development schemes, including the provision of Sui gas. The Speaker Khyber Pakhtukhwa said that during last 30 years no major power generating projects had initiated in the country, which plunged the country to energy crisis. However, he said during last four years the establishment of grid station, installation of power transformers and replacement of old wires have resolved the power supply related problems in the area into some extent.
He urged the people to give priority to collective schemes on their individual cases to development the area and guarantee the provision of basic facilities to maximum number of people. He said that he would leave no stone unturned in the resolution of the problems of the people.
