The Kashmir Institute of Strategic Studies has urged the Obama Administration and world community to help resolve the long standing Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people. Kashmir Institute of Strategic Studies' Director Khalid Jahangir in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the Kashmir dispute as a hurdle in establishing peace in South Asia.
He said the permanent resolution of the conflict in accordance with the Kashmiris' wishes was necessary for lasting peace and prosperity of the region, Kashmir Media Service reported on Friday. He said that international community must realise its responsibilities and take necessary steps to urge India and Pakistan to settle the long pending dispute through tripartite talks.
