Rain water cleaned from major roads

Following the rains in various areas of city on Wednesday night, Administrator KMC Muhammad Hussain Syed imposed state of emergency in health services department and cancelled the leaves of concerned staff. On the directive of Administrator Karachi immediate measures were taken for drainage of rainwater on all major city corridors, including I.I Chundrigar Road, Sharah-e-Faisal, Abdullah Haroon Road, M R Kyani Road and Dr Ziauddin Road.
Rainwater on all these roads was cleared and necessary measures were taken for further rain in the city. Director Health Services and Director Machinery Pool following the directive of Administrator Karachi visited various areas of city and inspect dewatering works. The concerned staff was given necessary directives on this occasion. Besides, all district municipal officers were also instructed to pay visit to their respective areas and take immediate action for drainage of rainwater.
