The establishment of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) is an achievement of the Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association (AMUOBA) which was made possible by its President and Chancellor SSUET, Z.A. Nizami. This was stated by Dr Abdullah, a Pakistani scientist settled in the US, and now on a visit here during a meeting with Nizami here on Wednesday.
Dr Abdullah, also an Aligarhian and a Trustee of Aligarh Alumni Association, USA, described the university a realisation of the meaning of Aligarh Movement. He informed the Chancellor that Aligarh Alumni Association USA is deeply involved in community services and has been supporting some 225 students studying in Aligarh University and also supporting about 15 educational institutions as a mission of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan- promoting cause of education.
