A task force of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) disconnected 10,000 illegal domestic and commercial gas connections in a grand operation in more than 20 localities of Jhang Road, here on Wednesday.
The raiding teams simultaneously started operation early morning in Rashidabad, Pathanwala, Bismillah Town, Basti Ishaq, Data Colony, Jamia Colony and Baowala etc, in supervision of Sibghut Ullah, General Manager, Zafar Mehmood Bhutta, Deputy Chief Engineer, Shahid Iqbal, Rana Rafaqat and Muhammad Asif Executive Engineers of SNGPL.
Saeed Chohan, SNGPL Media Advisor informed mediamen that the operation was conducted by more than 500 employees. However, before the operation in the area of Tandlianwala armed robbers looted the SNGPL team. The robbers fled away after snatching mobiles, cash and equipment from the raiding team. Police registered the case probing into the case.
