The Balochistan Assembly on Monday session faced lack of quorum as only two lawmakers were present in the 65-member house. The provincial assembly on Monday session started with Deputy Speaker Syed Matiaullah Agha in chair at 11am.
Only two members including Minister for Forests and Wildlife and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F leader Maulana Abdul Samad Akhunzada and Pakistan Muslim League-Q MPA Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhel were present in the house. The Deputy Speaker gave ruling that it was regrettable that only two lawmakers out of 65 were present in the house to attend the assembly proceedings.
He asked Secretary Assembly to write a letter to Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani asking him to ensure presence of legislators in the assembly session. Later, he adjourned the house till 28th December 11am. Balochistan Assembly Monday session agenda included question hour on matters pertaining to Education Department and any other official and non-official proceedings.
