The Civil Aviation Authority diverted four flights from Karachi to Nawabshah following the closure of Jinnah International Airport due to crash landing of a Saudi passenger plane on Sunday morning.
A PIA flight PK331 coming from Multan and bound for Karachi, Air Blue flight 403, Saudi Airlines' flight coming from Riyadh and bound for Karachi and fourth flight Urmichi airline from Zurich landed at Nawabshah airport and were allowed to fly to Karachi after five hours during which passengers of all flights were provided food.
Sales Manager PIA Nawabshah Aashiq Hussain Zardari confirmed the reports that runway of Karachi airport was blocked due to crash landing and said now the air traffic has been restored.
