The Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Hussain Wassan, has directed the police that steps to be taken under a comprehensive strategy for curbing street crimes, dacoities, looting in buses and other crimes. A police statement here on Sunday said that he also instructed the personnel of Special Branch and area police to keep strict eye on criminals so as to bring them to justice.
Home Minister also directed police to deploy sufficient police personnel in industrial and commercial areas as well as at the thoroughfares.
He said that there should be arrangements for mobile police patrolling and deployment of plainclothes people personnel. Home Minister further instructed that in case of any dereliction, action should be initiated.
He said that protection of life and property of the people is the duty of the police.
Manzoor Wassan further stated that curbing crimes is the priority of the police. He called for making police stations, Madadgar 15 centres and special branch more effective to curb crimes and rapid action against criminals.
