ISLAMABAD: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Thursday while paying rich tribute to Chairman Dil Jan Foundation Dil Jan Khan said serving the humanity, particularly down trodden segment of society including widows and disabled, was a noble and sacred job.

Speaking at the charity Dinner of Dil Jan Foundation, the governor eulogized the welfare services being rendered by the foundation in remote area of district Lakki Marwat.

He said despite limited resources, the foundation had provided free healthcare facilities to over 80,000 poor people so far besides monthly stipends to widows and poor students.

“It is not an easy task to provide healthcare and education facilities to poor people of remote areas but it had been made possible owing to the untiring efforts and commitment of the Dil Jan Foundation,” he said.

The governor also appreciated the foundation for looking after the affected families of suicide attack at volley ball match in which around 110 innocent people had lost their lives.

He assured his all out support to the foundation to carry out welfare activities in the remote areas.

The governor also urged the philanthropists to come forward and help the foundation in this noble cause.

The governor also announced cash award of Rs 1 million for the foundation.

In a welcome address, the foundation chairman Dil Jan Khan said the foundation had set up a hospital in Begulkhel villege aimed at providing healthcare facilities to poor people of around 8-10 villages.

He said the foundation was also providing financially support to widows and orphans families and helped them in their livelihood.

He said the foundation was also promoting education facilities besides provisions of financial assistance to the needy students of the remote areas.

Earlier, chairman Hashoo Group Sadrauddin Hashwani, Country Director Hashoo Group Ayesha Khan, Chairman Sweet Home Zamrud Khan , Senator Talha Mehmood and other spoke on the occasion and assured their full support to the Dil Jan Foundation.
