KAMPALA: The Ugandan shilling edged up on Tuesday as importers who are preparing to pay their taxes in the local curbed demand for dollars.
At 0900 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,635/3,645, slightly up from Monday's close of 3,640/3,650.
