Day-long workshop on animals organised

Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Sciences, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Agricultural University organised a daylong training session on 'restraining animals' in collaboration with ICI Pakistan. More than 84 veterinary technicians' from different farms and staff of veterinary hospital through out the province had participated in the training workshop.
The basic purpose of the programme was to aware the veterinary relating staff about precautionary measure for animal health, said Professor Dr Muhammad Subhan Quershi, Dean Faculty of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Sciences, KP Agricultural University, while speaking at opening session of the workshop.
He appreciated the contribution of ICI Pakistan to animal health and production throughout the country and acknowledged their efforts at university for the awareness of farming community. He extended his warm feeling to the team of ICI including, and stressed upon technology transfer for increasing farmers' income. Saboor from ICI extended special thanks the participants and instructors for their interest in the training.
Later, Dr Sohail Ahmad, Dr Ihsanullah and Iftikhar demonstrated the techniques of restraining of large and small animals to the students for the purpose of medication. On the occasion, representatives of ICI, Pakistan including Dr Ishfaq Hussain, Murad, Imtiaz Ahmad Awan and Dr Fasihuddin were present.
