Khadim Ali Shah Bukhari Institute of Technology (Kasbit) on Monday announced 100 percent scholarship program for journalists intending to get higher education. It also announced 75 percent scholarship program for any family member of journalists in various courses. Besides, students who would be recommended by journalists can also get 10 percent scholarship on merit basis.
This announcement was made by the Vice Chancellor of Kasbit Ali Abbas Abidi before media persons. He said that journalists would also be entertained with 75 percent scholarship on vocational courses. Ali Abbas said that providing such opportunities to media persons is aimed to promote higher education in such an important segment of society. He said that his institution has made a landmark achievement of providing free education in 155 universities of the country.
He said that Khadim Ali Shah Bukhari Institute of Technology is poised to achieve internationally recognised excellence in education and research. "Based on its current strengths - institute size, faculty expertise, research mission, commitment to experiential learning and a new state-of-the-art facility we believe Kasbit can effectively mobilise the growing aspirations of its faculty, administration, students, and alumni."
He said that the successful organisations in the future will be well positioned not only to anticipate change but also to take advantage of such a change. They will achieve a forward-looking vision, and move rapidly towards par excellence as they react to new opportunities. The Kasbit will follow the same strategy and will aim to react quickly to meet the needs of the changing business environment.
"Our BBA, MBA, and MS/M Phil leading to Ph D programs are structured to adapt to the dynamics of the national and global economy," he added. "Our students will be able to add value to the organisations immediately and will be destined for future leadership roles. We will also incorporate the same approach in our research and executive programs", Ali Abbas said.
