At least three persons including an alleged member of Lyari gang war were killed in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Thursday. According to police and rescuers, a 41-year-old Saeed Baloch son of Ismail Baloch was shot dead at Shahnawaz Chowk located in Old Golimar in the limits of Pak Colony police station.
The victim was targeted when he was going to meet his relatives in his own taxi (PG-5871). Resultantly he received fatal bullet wounds and succumbed to his injures on the spot. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for legal formalities. SHO Abdul Moid said the victim, who was the resident of Malir area, associated with Arshad Pappu group.
A father of two children was stabbed to dead at Farid Colony, Orangi Town in the jurisdiction of Mominabad police station. The tragic incident was took place at Fareed Colony Orangi Town No 10 where a second wife of the victim Abdul Rasheed called two unknown men in the house for his alleged murder. Police said these accused killed the victim with the axe and managed to flee from the scene.
They said the deceased Abdul Rasheed, who got had married Taj Haya and had a daughter from her, had again tied the knot with 16-year-old girl namely Parveen Haya in Swat some two years ago. They said they had arrested Praveen and Nazmeen while raids were being conducted for the arrest of Saeed. A case 379/11 was registered on the complaint of deceased brother Fazl Kareem.
A young man lost his life in a road mishap at Banaras Bridge in the limits of Pirabad police station. The victim Ali Mohammad, 23, son of Ali Akbar, a resident of Frontier Colony, was knocked by speedy vehicle when he was travelling on his motorcycle at Banaras Bridge. Resultantly, he died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico legal formalities. No case was registered till filing of this report.
