An application was filed on Thursday in Islamabad High Court challenging Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) decision to drop name of a candidate, who passed competitive examination, citing technical grounds. The applicant, Saima Ambreen has filed application through Advocate Supreme Court Abd-ur-Rehman Siddique, making FPSC and Establishment Division as respondents.
The applicant has taken the plea that she has passed the departmental examination of Section Officer in 2010 by observing all the rules and regulations and her name was recommended for a position of Section Officer. She sought a direction of Islamabad High Court to stop FPSC from such illegal acts as she burnt the midnight oil for acquiring the position and finally was rejected illegally. It is worth mentioning that petitioner appeared in the Section Officer Promotional Examination 2010 by observing the criteria, published by the FPSC where only two women passed the exam including the applicant.
