The profit after tax of Nishat Power Limited rose to Rs 430.635 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2011 as compared to Rs 55.365 million in the same quarter in 2010. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Tuesday declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 1.216 in the period under review against Re 0.156 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 6.264 billion in this quarter against Rs 4.339 billion in the same quarter a year ago. The cost of sales increased to Rs 5.071 billion against Rs 3.578 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 432.563 million in this quarter against Rs 59.980 million in the same quarter last year.
