National immunisation drive against polio from today

A three-day national immunisation campaign against polio would commence from today (Monday) during which more than 16 million children of up to five year of age would be administered polio vaccine drops. A spokesman of Health Department Punjab Sunday informed that 3-day Anti-Polio campaign would continue till 26th October.
He further said that children from the age of six months to five years of age would also be given vitamin A dose in addition to polio drops. He informed that 31960 mobile teams have been constituted who will visit door to door for this purpose. He disclosed that the services of motorway police have also been obtained for administration of polio drops to the travelling children.
