Three persons including a woman were killed in different areas of the metropolis here on Friday. According to police, a man, Abdul Jabbar, 35, was shot dead by unknown armed men near his house in Baloch Goth in the limits of Orangi Town police station. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities. Police said the victim might have been targeted on sectarian ground.
No case was registered till filing of this report A 45-year-old man was gunned down in Gulshan Ghazi near Power House, Baldia, in the limits of Mochko police station. Police said Basharat Ali son of Taj Din was killed by his neighbour, Ghazi Khalil, over personal issue. They said the accused Khalil escaped after the incident. The body was shifted to ASH for post mortem. Police said the victim used to run electronics shop in the same area where he resided. Police registered a case 395/11 against Ghazi and initiated probe in this case.
A two-month old body of a woman was recovered from an empty plot at Khayaban-e-Sehar in the jurisdiction of Darakshan police station. The identity of victim was yet to be ascertained, while police found her body from the bushes on an empty plot located in phase VI Khayaban-e-Sehar Defence. The body was shifted to JPMC for post-mortem and later moved to Edhi Morgue.
