Noted scholar killed

A noted academician, professor Sanaullah Khan Janikhel was killed by unknown assailants here on Thursday, police said. Khan, who was posted at Degree Collage for Boys Bannu was on his way to bazaar when masked men on motorbike opened indiscriminate firing at him that caused his instant death.
The reason behind the murder could not be immediately ascertained. The teachers and students protested over the gory incident and blocked Bannu-Miransha road for sometime. They were demanding exemplary punishment to his killers and judicial enquiry.
