Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Friday sought replies from Gulberg TMO and Market Committee by October 19 in a writ petition of merchants of Kot Lakhpat fruit and vegetable market against government for not allowing them to run their shops. Petitioners contended that city district government was shifting the market from Kot Lakhpat and not allowing them to even to sit in their shops.
They said the act of the government was illegal. They pointed out that a case against the shifting of the market was also pending in the court, therefore, they should be allowed to run their shops till decision of the case.
