MURREE: On the directives of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi natural gas was being supplied to various union councils (UC) here.
The special assistant to PM Abbasi for his constituency Hafiz Usman Abbasi told media here Tuesday that UC Charehan, UC Rawat, UC Angoori and UC Sehr Bagla are the constituencies where funds amounting to more than Rs 5 million had already been transferred for the supply of natural gas to the area.
Hafiz Usman said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had pledged to provide natural gas to every village of Murree. In UC Ghorra Gali, some parts of UC Musiyarri, Gharyal, Murree city, Sunny Bank, Kuldana, Sandiyan Lower Topa and some other areas gas was already being supplied.
In UC Darya Gali construction work was being carried out for gas supply and would be completed soon. He said that by the end of this year almost 80pc of the total population of Murree, mostly dwelling in rural areas would be supplied with gas facility and another promise of PML-N would be fulfilled.
