Arif Habib Corporation Limited has posted Rs 2.840 billion as profit after tax in the year ended June 30, 2011 (FY11) as compared to Rs 3.798 billion earned in FY10. The company's earning per share stood at Rs 7.57 in the period under review against Rs 10.13 in the same period last year.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on September 14, 2011 recommended a final cash dividend for the year at Rs 2.00 per share, ie 20 percent. The board also recommended issuing Bonus Shares in the proportion of one share for every ten shares held, ie 10 percent.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's operating revenue increased to Rs 1.908 billion in FY11 against Rs 1.636 billion in FY10. The net loss on sales of securities declined to Rs 14.377 million against Rs 139.966 million. The net gain on remeasurement of investments reduced to Rs 2.346 billion against Rs 2.680 billion. The company's profit before taxation stood at Rs 3.148 billion in FY11 against Rs 3.732 billion in FY10.
