Sui Northern Gas Pipe Lines Limited (SNGPL) restored gas supply to the CNG stations in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Multan and Gujranwala region after 6pm on Wednesday. According to the SNGPL officials, according to gas management plan, the company restored the gas supply to the CNG stations of Lahore region after two and a half days.
The officials said that the company has reviewed the gas management plan because of the improvement in the supply of gas. However, the officials said that there was no change in the gas management plan for the next week as CNG stations of Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Multan and Gujranwala region will observe consecutive three day gas load management plan, where there will be no gas for these areas on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The officials also said that they were monitoring the pressure and availability of gas and if the gas is available then there might be a two and a half days gas load management for the CNG sector in the coming week. The unavailability of gas at city's filling stations coupled with severe shortage of public transport hit the thousands of daily commuters on Wednesday till the restoration of the supply to CNG stations.
