Six persons die in various accidents

At least six persons were killed in different mishaps at various parts of the metropolis on Sunday. According to police and rescue officials, two persons were crushed to death, while five others, including a woman, were injured near Lucky Cement Factory in the limits of Gadap City police station.
The incident took place on Super Highway near Lucky Cement where a pickup, bound to interior Sindh, was hit by a speeding trailer. Resultantly, a driver, Yar Mohammad, 30, and a conductor, Gulzar, succumbed to their injures on spot, while Pervez, his wife Rukhshanda and their three children Momin, Hassan and Ali Raza sustained injuries. However, the responsible driver managed to flee from the scene.
Police shifted the bodies to Major Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities, and the injured to a nearby private hospital. No case was registered till filing of this report.
A young man lost his live when his bike slipped on Clifton Road due to downpour in the limits of Rizvia police station. The victim was identified as Atif, 27, son of Tariq, resident of FB Area. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), from where his family took away the body without completing legal formalities.
A drowned body of a man was found from Nullah in Rehri Goth in the jurisdiction of Sukkhan police station. The identity of victim was yet to be ascertained. The body was shifted to JPMC and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification.
A man was electrocuted while bathing in rain near Art Chowk in the precincts of Kalakot police station. The victim was identified as Jamil, 30, son of Jamshed, resident of same area where the incident occurred.
A 24-year-old Saleem, son of Fazal, was killed in a road mishap near Korangi Crossing in the limits of Awami Colony police station. No case was registered till filing of this report.
