Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology organised a Naat competition 2011 for women-2011, with the SSUET Chancellor, Z.A.Nizami in chair, at Bashir A Malik Auditorium.
Female staff and girls students from different departments of the varsity participated in the Naat competition with great reverence and enthusiasm to pay tributes to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), said a statement issued on Sunday.
According to the results of Naat contest, Hafsa Paisal, lecturer of Electronic Engineering Department, secured the first prize, Urnaira Shahid, student of Electronic Engineering Department, was declared second, while Mah Rukh Khan, Lecturer of English Department, got third prize.
The ceremony of Naat competition was concluded with dua for the progress and prosperity of Muslim Ummah. Engr Z A Nizami praised performance of the female students and staff.
He distributed certificates among the winners of the Naat Khawani contest. Addressing on the occasion, the Varsity Chancellor said that the purpose of organising event is to search out real talent.
