PRAGUE: The Slovak central government budget deficit reached 1.22 billion euros ($1.47 billion) at the end of December, wider than a 980.26 million euro deficit posted a year ago, the Finance Ministry said on Tuesday.
Total revenue reached 14.01 billion euros in January-December, while expenditure was 15.23 billion euros. Tax revenue stood at 11.15 million euros, up from 11.07 billion euros a year ago.
Revenue from EU transfers reached 1.42 billion euros, down from 1.94 billion euros at the end of December 2016.
