US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has written to Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar to congratulate her on appointment as Pakistan's Foreign Minister.
In her letter received, here on Friday, Secretary Clinton expressed desire to work closely with Foreign Minister Khar, on all issues of bilateral and regional importance between the two countries. Secretary Clinton added that she looks forward to meet the Foreign Minister in Bali. The Foreign Minister is currently in Bali to attend the Asean Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting.
Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, Kasit Piromya has written to Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar to congratulate her on assumption of office.
In his letter on Friday, the Thai Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for the efforts made by Hina Rabbani Khar during her tenure as the Minister of State in strengthening the relations between Pakistan and Thailand. Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya expressed hope that the friendship and co-operation between Pakistan and Thailand will further strengthen in the future.
In a message, the Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Dr Dipu Moni congratulated Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, on her appointment as Pakistan's Foreign Minister. Referring to the friendly relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh, Dr Moni expressed hope that relations between the two countries will continue to grow from strength to strength in the days ahead. The Bangladeshi Foreign Minister expressed desire to work closely with Foreign Minister Khar for further strengthening the relations between the two countries. Dr Dipu Moni also extended an invitation to Foreign Minister Khar to visit Bangladesh at a mutually convenient time.-PR
