Consul General of Republic of Indonesia Rossalis R Adenan on Sunday inaugurated the celebrations of the 66th Independence Day of Indonesia with a colorful ceremony held on the lush green lawn of the Indonesian Consulate in Karachi.
The celebrations started with month-long sports activities which will continue till the end of National Day, 17th of August, include many activities scheduled for the Indonesian community as well as for the Pakistani families.
The sports activities to celebrate the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia are just to entertain the Indonesian Community to celebrate their National Day in an enjoyable manner.
During his inaugural speech the honourable Consul General emphasised on the importance of freedom and its impact on the nations and urged the Sindh-based Indonesian community to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings and act as a responsible citizen while in Pakistan.
Rossalis also invited the Indonesian community to take active part in the sports activities that include: Bowling, Tug-of-war, Billiard, Table Tennis and Domino to be held on every Sunday at the Consulate.
