Vacating Shamsi Airbase: Jamaat-e-Islami condemns US refusal

Naib Amir, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Professor Khurshid has strongly condemned the US refusal to vacate the Shamsi Airbase and to continue its violation against Pakistan's sovereignty through drone attacks. Professor Khurshid further said that the refusal was a slap on the face of Pakistan and was simply intolerable.
He demanded of the government to immediately demand withdrawal of the US forces from Shamsi Airbase and stoppage of all its operations from Pakistani soil. He stressed that the government must take immediate steps to curtail drastically or stop Nato supplies through Pakistan. "The Parliament has already issued this directive and it is time for the government and the army to implement the decision of the Parliament", he emphasised.
