Younis Khan believes Pakistan can beat Kiwis but on one condition

Pakistan former captain Younis Khan is optimistic that the current Team Green is more than capable of beating the Kiwis Down Under. However, he believes that the youngsters would need to gain mental strength in order to clinch the win.

“Looking at the recent performances by the Pakistan cricket team, in both the One Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20’s, there is a strong chance of beating the New Zealand in their backyard,” Khan said.

“However, as I have said earlier that in order to achieve the feat, the team Green would need mental strength and the players should know their roles,” said Khan, while talking to media.

Earlier, former captain Salman Butt was of the view that the Pakistan side would require a strong showing from its batting line against the New Zealand as Butt expected the games to be a high scoring ones.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is schedule to play five ODI and three T20Is between January 6 and January 28. The Pakistan selectors are expected to announce the squad later this week.
