The Punjab government is making all-out efforts to address the problems of the masses despite limited resources, said Special Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Raja Ashfaq Sarwar.
Addressing participants of an open Kutchary held at Jinnah Hall Murree on Sunday, Raja Ashfaq said that the Punjab government was paying special attention towards education and health and under a comprehensive strategy, solid steps were being taken in this regard.
He said on the special instructions of Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif open Katcheries were being held to resolve the problems of the people at their doorsteps.
Assistant Commissioner Murree Dr Umar Jehangir, District Health Officer Rawalpindi Dr Khalid, Raja Attique Sarwar and officials of Police, Education, Wapda and Building Department were also present on this occasion.
He said that all the applications and complaints received at open Katchery would be forwarded to the departments concerned so that problems of the masses could be addressed within the shortest possible time.
The Advisor said that negligence on part of government officials would not be tolerated.
On this occasion, he instructed the officials of education departments that the teachers' attendance at schools must be ensured and their transfers/postings should be made at local level.
On the complaint of a citizen, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar directed the Assistant Superintendent Police (ASP) Murree that strict action should be taken against drug peddlers and other criminals. He called for steps to ensure the safety and protection of the visitors as well as the local population at Murree.
