Re-arrest of Ghulam Nabi denounced

In Indian occupied Kashmir, veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani has denounced the unlawful re-arrest of Hurriyet leader Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi by Indian police despite court orders to release him. The spokesman of the forum in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the re-arrest of Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi as undemocratic and inhuman act and said Nabi's arrest was despite the court orders to release him, Kashmir Media Service reported on Thursday.
He flayed the occupation authorities for trying to prolong Ghulam Nabi's illegal detention and termed it a sheer political vendetta. "The court quashed Sumjhi's detention under the draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA) but the police rearrested him," the spokesman deplored.
