Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has expressed his deep grief and shock over the sad demise of the veteran politician Hakim Ali Zardari. Expressing sympathies with President Asif Ali Zardari on the demise of his father here at Zardari House on Wednesday afternoon, the Prime Minister recalled the services of the deceased and termed his death a great loss.
Accompanied by Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan and Interior Minister Rehman Malik, the Prime Minister offered fateha for the deliverance of the departed soul. Among others, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Federal and Provincial Ministers and elected representatives were also present on the occasion. Meanwhile, people continued coming to the resident of President Asif Ali Zardari through out the day to condole his father's death.

The District Administration Shaheed Benazirabad had already announced holiday in the district to mourn the demise of the veteran politician Hakim Ali Zardari as a result of which all educational institutions, public and private offices remained closed. The business activities in the entire Nawabshah City also remained suspended, while traffic on roads was also thin.
