A record 75,000 titles were sold during the three days of PU book fair organised by the administration, faculty and students. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran has said that the number of books sold on book fair showed the students and people still have love for books.
He said mostly young students have purchased books, which showed their liaison with books. He stressed the need to promote study-culture and said the knowledge was the source of power and respectable survival in the world, and knowledge and book were two important for each others.
While Punjab University Department of Gender Studies' Gender Research and Counselling Centre, in collaboration with Azimia Rohania Library, organised a seminar on "Advancement in Chromotherapy" here in the department. Dr Samina Aamir and Asma Azmi Azmat were the keynote speakers of the seminar, while Department Incharge Chairperson Professor Dr Samar Fatima, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. The speakers, while highlighting the history and treatment method, said colours had various affects on human lives.
