The most-active July copper contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed 1 percent higher at 66,540 yuan on Tuesday. Its daily movements have roughly matched those of the Shanghai Stock Exchange for over a week now. The most-active July aluminium contract in Shanghai ended the session flat, ticking up 0.06 percent to 16,655 yuan.
