Chairman Sasti Roti Authority Hanif Abbasi, MNA met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here on Monday and presented a report regarding mechanical tandoors in the province.
Abbasi said that 275 mechanical tandoors for the poor were functioning in kachi abadies, hospitals, railway stations and other backward areas and most of those were also providing curry to the poor for Rs 15 to 20 along with Sasti Roti. The target of 300 mechanical tandoors in the province would be achieved by June 30, he added.
The chief minister said that welfare of the masses was the mission of his government and provision of sasti roti to the workers and the poor was a noble task in the existing era of price hike. He commended performance of Chairman Sasti Roti Authority and said that service to humanity was a form of worship and provision of sasti roti and curry to the poor through mechanical tandoors was a commendable step.
