President signs NDU Bill into law

President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday signed National Defence University Bill 2011 into law which paves way for establishment of National Defence University (NDU) here. The National Defence University Bill 2011 was passed by the National Assembly on February 21 2011 while the Senate passed the bill on May 4, 2011.
The new enactment enables establishment of the varsity with the objective to impart higher education in the fields of national defence, management, state-craft and security to meet contemporary and future challenges and promote national interests.
