Defence official says: Pakistan lacks expertise to replicate Blackhawk technology

Pakistan does not have the requisite expertise to duplicate the technology in the downed Blackhawk helicopter used in surgical operation against the Osama bin Laden, a well placed official in the Defence Ministry revealed to this correspondent. The official added that there are only two other countries - Russia and China - that posses the capability of stealth technology.
However, their knowledge is limited to fighter planes and not helicopters. Thus the downed helicopter could provide these two countries with the necessary technical information to enable them to develop stealth technology in helicopters that would be useful as a deterrent.
China to date is the only country that openly expressed support for Pakistan in the aftermath of the bin Laden killing by US navy SEALS. Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu stated," Pakistan is at the forefront of international counter terrorism efforts...the international community should understand and support Pakistan...We support Pakistan's position and understand and support Pakistan formulating and implementing counter-terrorism strategy based on its national conditions."
The official further revealed that the Pakistan government is facing tremendous pressure from the US administration to return the wreckage of the downed helicopter. The photograph of the chopper's damaged trail circulating on the web led to world wide awareness of the advanced type of the helicopter used in operation Geronimo.
He further said that the decision to use the Blackhawk helicopters reflected the extraordinary importance attached by the US to the operation carried out to eliminate bin Laden. The official was not aware of such sophisticated weaponry had been used in Special Operation raids before.
He further confirmed that these helicopters were invisible on the radar throughout the operation as they possess radar-evading gadgetry. In addition the choppers had noise and heat suppression devices, allowing them to slip across the Afghan-Pakistan border, avoid detection by Pakistani air defences and deliver two dozen Navy SEALs into the al Qaida leader's lair.
"This would be reflected in the inquiry report initiated by Pakistan Air Force soon after the surgical strike", he said. The main body of the helicopter was blown up by the SEALs before they left with bin Laden's body, apparently in order to prevent the exposure of other secret stealth components.
