The elections of 14 Business Councils of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) have been completed and chairmen of these councils have been appointed by Senator Haji Ghulam Ali as President FPCCI.
According to an announcement of the FPCCI here on Wednesday, Abdul Rahim Janoo, chairman, Pakistan-Bangladesh Business Council; Mahtabuddin Chawla, Chairman, Pakistan-Canada Business Council; Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir, Chairman Pakistan-China Business Council; Imran Zahid, Chairman, Pakistan-Germany Business Council; Tariq Sayeed, Chairman, Pakistan-Iran Business Council; Tariq Rafi, Chairman Pakistan-Iraq Business Council; Muhammad Bashir Janmohammad, Chairman Pakistan-Malaysia Business Council; Amjad Rafi, Chairman Pakistan-Turkey Business Council; Muhammad Abdul Mateen, Chairman Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Business Council; Arif Suleman, Chairman Pakistan-Thailand Business Council; Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Chairman Pakistan-UAE Business Council; Haroon Rashid Sheikh, Chairman of the Pakistan-USA Business Council; Nadeem Khalid, Chairman Pakistan-Ukraine Business Council and Zahid Anwar has been appointed as Chairman of the Pakistan-UK Business Council of FPCCI.
Another series of the elections of FPCCI Business Councils relating to Pak-Italy, Pak- Vietnam, Pak-Sri-Lanka, Pak-South Africa, Pak- Indonesia, Pak-Australia, Pak-Uzbekistan, Pak-Russia, Pak-Oman are in process. The Elections of the other Business Councils are also in the pipeline which will be held very soon.
Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, President FPCCI is very eager for the activation of the FPCCI Business Councils and Joint Chambers as the main objective of the Councils/Chambers is to provide a forum to the Business Community of Pakistan and facilitate the members to identify new areas of possible economic co-operation, marketing access, making new area for joint ventures for promotion of their trade with respective countries, it added.
