Six killed as tribes clash over water issue

At least six persons were killed in firing when two tribes clashed in Mirpur Bathoro, 40 km off on Tuesday morning. The dead and injured were shifted in rescue ambulances to Makli Civil Hospital. According to hospital sources and relatives of the victims, the clash occurred over a dispute on timings and release of water at their respective irrigation system.
The victims hailed from Chang and Siyal tribes and both lost three persons each. They were identified by the hospital sources as Munawar Chang, Ramazan Chang, Razaq Chang, Mehboob Siyal, Mohib Siyal and Shabir Siyal.
