Federal Minister for Housing and works Makhdoum Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has directed the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) to complete the development work in G-14 sector without any further delay so that allottees could start construction of their houses who have been waiting since launching of this sector in 2004.
The Minister while taking serious notice of the long delay in completion of development work and taking possession of the remaining land from CDA in G-14 sector, said that this situation was not only causing inconvenience to the allottees for starting construction of their houses but on the other side increasing the construction cost in the wake of escalating material prices in the market. The Minister expressed satisfaction over the pace of construction of houses by the allottees in G-13 sector adding that it would help bring to overcome the shelter problem of the government employees and other entitled groups to a great extent.
Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat directed the FGEHF to intensify efforts for launching more housing schemes for the benefit of low paid government employees federally constituted groups officers and other entitled segments aimed at providing a house to every one before their retirement under Prime Minister's Housing Programme. The Minister said that progress on the development projects undertaken by the FGEHF and PHA would be constantly monitored and negligence or wrongdoing found on the part of any official would be dealt under the laws.-PR
