The first one-month course on testing and evaluation was organised by Higher Education Commission's English Language Teaching Reforms (ELTR) Project under its Phase-II at Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam attended by 22 college teachers of the nearby areas, said a press release received here on Friday.
The resource persons at the course were eminent scholars in the field of testing and assessment, including Dr Aijaz Khooharo, Dr Fateh Mohammad Soomro and Professor Qalandar Shah. Dr Raheem Bukhsh Mirbahr, Pro-Vice Chancellor, SAU was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony.
The main objective of the course was to enable teachers understand the goals, concepts, principles and concerns of language testing, assessment and evaluation. It provided them an opportunity to design and construct useful language tests for assessment and evaluation. Deans, Faculty of Social Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Soil Sciences, ICT and Faculty of English attended the concluding ceremony.
