Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday demanded of the government to probe into Abbottabad incident and shared facts with the nation in this regard. Talking to reporters outside Parliament House, he said that the entire world has started propaganda campaign against Pakistan, adding that the government should come up with the response to the allegations levelled by CIA and India after the particular incident.
He said that CIA chief has said Pakistan was involved in providing cover to Osama bin Laden, besides alleging the institutions as incompetent. "The battalion of ministers, who have hoisted flags on their cars, should come up to give answers to the allegations being levelled against Pakistan", he added.
He said that every citizen of the country was feeling insecure after the Abbottabad incident, asking that was Pakistan being the 7th world atomic power incapable to come into force even US helicopters taking action for about 45 minutes near Pakistan Military Academy (PMA). "This needs to be responded properly", he demanded. He further said that all the political forces of the country should come together for the restoration of prestige and integrity of Pakistan, adding that PML-N would play its role on the matter.
He said that Pakistan has become centre of the allegations after Abbottabad incident, but the government was keeping mum even after lapse of four days of the covert operation. He also deplored that even Prime Minister Gilani did not cancel his France visit on the occurrence of the crucial issue.
The Leader of the Opposition said that it was deplorable that the day US helicopters were violating Pakistan's sovereignty, 'Meena Bazaar' of power sharing was being staged at Aiwan-e-Sadr. "Power sharing took place on the day when Pakistan was being ridiculed all over the world", he added while referring to the emergence of new coalition of PPP with PML-Q, adding that PML-Q's minister Faisal Saleh Hayat had brought the issue of corruption in rental power in Supreme Court and he would have to be accountable to the nation on this count.
He described the PPP-PML-Q alliance as worst deal than National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO). About the meeting between Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief Ashfaq Pervez Kayani on May 2, he said that it was a scheduled meeting and took place prior to Abbottabad incident. Replying to a question, he said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in fact should have been "Muttahida Qalabazian Movement", adding that the party's revolution is meant to remain stuck to power corridors.
