Around 100 activists of Pasban on Thursday organised a rally in front of Multan Press Club to condemn the US operation in Abbotabad and challenging the sovereignty and independence of Pakistan. The rally was led by Muhammad Afzal Mughal district organiser, Mian Javed Shahid President and Dr Akmal Shehzad General Secretary.
The participants chanted slogans against the government. "Abbotabad operation is an attack on Pakistan's independence and sovereignty and this drama was staged by CIA to get Barrack Obama elected for second term in forthcoming elections. This episode is beyond reality," said Mughal.
Earlier, absentia funeral prayers of Osama bin Laden were offered in MCC ground (Multan) on Wednesday. More than 200 activists of Mutahidda Shehri Mahaz, Mutahidda Tajir Ittehad, Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and other religious parties took part and led by Alklama Inayatullah Rehmani of Jamiat Ahle-Hadith. The funeral procession was jointly organised by Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) Jamiat Ahle-Hadith United Traders Organisation and United Citizen Front. Hundreds of JuD workers and several prominent religious leaders, including Sultan Mehmood Malik of APML, Shahid Mehmood Khan,MPA of PML-N,. Tariq Naeem-ullah Khan chief of Mutahidda Shehri Mahaz,Nawab Naseem-uddin Khan, Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar others were present in the absentia funeral prayers of Osama.
