The profit after tax of ICI Pakistan Limited has increased to rupees 624.116 million in the quarter ended on March 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 396.778 million earned in the corresponding period in 2010. The board of directors of the company, in its meeting held on Thursday, declared that the company's earning per share increased to Rs 4.50 in the period under review against Rs 2.86 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's net sales, commission and toll income increased to Rs 10.666 billion in this quarter against Rs 8.088 billion in the same quarter a year back while the cost of sales increased to Rs 9.130 billion against Rs 6.878 billion. The company's selling and distribution cost reduced to Rs 373.067 million against Rs 399.277 million. Its profit before taxation increased to Rs 948.982 billion in this quarter against Rs 609.778 million in the same quarter last year.
