The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) senior leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has said that PPP's efforts to include PML-Q in political alliance was self directed and not aimed at resolving the masses' hardships and crises confronting the country's stability.
Talking to media persons here on Thursday, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed said that political leaders, either Makhdooms or Gilanis, were in the grip of masses' anguish and their statements in favour of the country and its people were aimed at saving their faces. He said that political and personal gains have forced the leaders to reunite for their surveillance in the active politics.
The JUI-F leader said that the decision of alliance between the PPP and PML-Q was settled in Abu Dhabi, which was going to be materialised in the name of, "political alliance in the larger interest of country and people." He said that President Asif Ali Zardari may not be a successful politician but surely he is well-practiced broker who is utilising his cards in best possible way.
To a question regarding rejoining the federal cabinet, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed said that JUI-F is at point of no return. However, if the PML-Q joined federal cabinet it would be great side-effect as other political parties would unite against the ruling coalition. Responding to another question, he said that political parties could lodge protest against the destruction and lives losses caused by drone attacks but only PPP, the ruling party was authorised to take any decision in this regard.
