It has been an annual ritual now and as always seems just yesterday when the 8th e-banking conference was held last year. By the Grace of Almighty Allah, Total Communication will be completing a decade of e-banking events next year.
This year's 9th e-banking conference, with the support of Pakistan Software Export Board, is being held in an atmosphere where not only the individual account holder is benefiting from the rich rewards of various e-banking services that almost all banks are offering now but the corporate sector is seriously looking at the options of exploring the powers of always-on, always-available services that a good, robust e-banking service can offer.
Ever increasing e-banking transactions means higher chance of fraudulent cases. This is much more serious than a manual fraud as this can be done without visiting a physical bank branch. In fact this can be done from far flung areas through many e-banking channels. Therefore, it was need of the time to initiate discussion on 'Managing Fraud within e-banking Arena', the topic of panel discussion at this year's e-banking conference. It is hoped that these healthy discussions by the professionals that have hundred of years of collective working experience in different but related fields will turn out to be highly beneficial for the banking industry of Pakistan.
Our sponsors have backed us once again. We are thankful to the industry for their continuous support. The regulators have been very kind to us throughout the years and their involvement in highly appreciated. On behalf of Total Communications, I welcome all the foreign and local guests who will be gracing the occasion. I thank all the participants once again for making the e-banking event a permanent success story.
